All Saints Church, Gussage All Saints The church was built in the 14th century and the tower was built in 15th century. Restoration was carried out in 1864 by Ewan Christian. The walls are flint and rubble with ashlar dressings. The name Gussage comes from the Anglo-Saxon "Gwysych", which means a bourne stream (Gwy = water; sych = dry. A stream which dries up).
