The church of St John the Evangelist. The church of St John the Evangelist was built in the 13th /14th century but has been much restored since; the furniture dates mainly from the mid 19th century. The unusual and interesting font, which once stood in the church of St Mary in Watton, dates from the 14th century and the panelling and reredos > 706497 on the east wall are fashioned from the medieval rood screen. There is an old stained glass roundel in one of the north wall windows > 706506. A small lancet window in the south wall is executed in the Arts and Craft style > 706513.
