Edington Priory lies at the foot of the escarpment which marks the edge of Salisbury Plain; here it is seen from the south west. The church was built between 1352 and 1361. This image dates from 1999, when I was photographing everything in black and white, on Tri X. The image was scanned and then worked on in Photoshop 3 to make it suitable for printing on an old Epson 750. The resulting master was almost unrescuable for modern Flickr purposes, but I gave it a go in Elements 6. On a previous image, with a similar history, one commenter remarked that there was an interesting use of grain in the sky, to give it texture. Actually the grain was there because I couldn't get rid of it. The image has here been tinted after the style of David J Osborn. There are many other pictures of Edington Priory on Flickr, all of them (at the time of writing) in colour.
