The Church of St Giles Hooke The windows of this little church are 16th Century but the tower was rebuilt by Crickmay, an architect from Weymouth. (Crickmay took over John Hicks' architectural business in Dorchester when he died in 1869 and Thomas Hardy, Hicks' apprentice, came to work for Crickmay for a few months. This was well before the work on this church was started.)
