SS Mary and Helena parish church, Elstow, Bedfordshire, seen from the east. The present church is the nave and aisles of the former Abbey church. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century the chancel and central tower were demolished and the east wall seen here was built to close the east end of the nave and aisles. All of the present east windows were re-worked when the church was restored in 1881.
