Quinn Chapel AME Church

Quinn Chapel of the A.M.E. Church in Chicago (1892). It represents the oldest African-American congregation in Chicago, which was formed in 1844. They officially joined the AME in 1847 and named their first church after Bishop William Paul Quinn. The original church was destroyed in the Chicago Fire. The congregation met in temporary locations in the years following the fire until purchasing a new site in 1890.
