Flåmsbana locomotive in Flåm station. The Flåmsbana leads from the 866 meter high Myrdal down through the Flåmsdalen to Flåm on the Aurlandsfjord. The railway line of 20.2 kilometers leads through 20 tunnels and overcomes 864 meters. With a maximum gradient of 55 ‰, it is one of the steepest adhesion railways in the world.
